Riverbend is a residential neighbourhood located in the south-east quadrant of Calgary, Alberta and established in 1982.  It is bounded to the east by 24 Street E, to the west by Deerfoot Trail and to the north by Glenmore Trail. It is developed in the Bow River floodplain, on its escarpment and the upland plain. In 2014, Riverbend had a population of 9,696, with 3,416 occupied dwellings, 91% being occupied by the owner. There were 94% single detached homes with 6% other dwelling types. The median age in the community is 41, with an average of 3 people per household.  Residents in this community had a median household income of $78,574 with 6.1% low income residents living in the neighbourhood.



Residents have access to the vibrant Riverbend Community Association located at 19 Rivervalley Dr SE, with a mission statement that includes commitment, respect, teamwork, integrity, fun and community spirit.
