Rundle, which shares its name with a local mountain near Banff, Alberta, is a large residential community that was established in 1973. It was named after Robert Terrill Rundle, a missionary that worked in Western Canada in the mid 1800’s. Located in the north-east quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, it is bounded by the Trans-Canada Highway to the south, 52 Street E to the east, 32 Avenue N to the north and 36 Street E to the west. Immediately west of the community you will find the Sunridge Mall. It is also southeast of the Calgary International Airport. According to the 2014 Calgary Civic Census, the population of Rundle was 11,542 with 3,670 occupied dwellings and 61% were occupied by the owner.

The Rundle Community Association is located at 2409-50 St NE, Calgary, Alberta, and has an active membership enrollment. Throughout the year you will find numerous activities such as Family Day celebrations behind the community centre where you can enjoy an outdoor ice rink and keep warm, enjoying hot chocolate by the fire pit. In June there is a Pancake Breakfast and Carnival and in December there are New Year’s Party celebrations. There are numerous youth programs including a Junior Youth Empowerment Program, Tiny Talkers Playschool, Girl Guides and Scouts Canada.
